Probably one of the best movie in world cinema, the movie depicts the rise of the three major politician's of the state of Tamil nadu - MGR, Karunanithi and Jayalalitha. The movie is good with aspects like the originality of the script. Mani didn't make any compromise. There was one particular speech made by MGR after Arignar Anna's death which led to his expulsion from the party and making him to start ADMK. Unfortunately, that speech was censored in the version of the movie I watched. Myth is that Maniratnam, avoided any actor's who associted with political party and strictly had neutral actors in the cast. Also the movie and it's details was kept confidential until the movie was released. Excellent acting by Mohan lal and Prakash Raj. Prakash Raj got national award for his role. Music by AR Rahman top notch, overall a great movie for Tamil folks.
