I was extremely disappointed with firstandsecond.com. Recently placed two orders on the site. For both orders, I received mails from the customer representative with subject: **" Kind Attn:Priced Increased"**!!
For order 1: *"the price of the title has been increased from INR 2, 850.00 to INR 4, 320.00 without any prior
information from publisher"
For order 2: *"the price of the title has been increased from
INR 2000.00 to INR 3, 672.00 without any prior information from
publisher."
The prices on the website were not the latest prices. I had placed the orders based on the website listings. Following that, I received mails stating that price increases had happened.
This means [am generalizing here though] that the **prices on the website can be inaccurate and out-of-date**. This can be very frustrating for a customer.
The mails asked for confirmation if I were still interested in the respective titles. I replied in the negative. Orders were cancelled. The only positive from this incident I can see is that my credit card was not charged!
Overall: if the price displayed on an eCommerce website is not accurate, then it is really a pathetic website.
