I bought a new Euroclean Wet & Dry early this month. The sales rep was quite nice while convincing me to buy the product, so, despite a friend's warnings, I paid him the whole amount as soon as I got the product. He said he'll get me my receipt the next day, and I thought that's fine.
Well, it's been over three and a half weeks since then, and I still haven't received a receipt. Everytime I call him, he makes some excuse, and promises to bring my receipt in the next 3-4 days. But that never happened. Finally, since last weekend, he stopped receiving my calls! That's just plain rude, and absolutely horrible mannerism, particularly for a sales rep.
Yesterday, I raised a complaint with their customer care, after waiting over 15 min at the IVR just to get through and talk to someone. The person who took the complaint, promised it'd be resolved within 24 hours. Today, I called again, and I was told I'd get a call with updates about the issue before 1 PM.
Obviously, didn't get any callback from them, so I called again at 3PM. This time, the person I talked to started taking my details afresh, and told me they have no details in the system related to my complaint! WTF?! I wasn't even sure if she could even understand english, but I patiently tried explaining multiple times that it's just about my receipt, and asked why it's being delayed. She didn't appear to understand that, and kept repeating that my issue will be solved within 24 hours. I asked for the supervisor, but she just wouldn't transfer the call. After wasting over 30 minutes there, I disconnected, and called again, hoping to get some information about the complaint this time.
This time, their systems were down(apparently). It's barely been 5 minutes since my last call, and I'm being told that they can't look at my complaint since their systems are down! Again, I asked for a supervisor, and this one wouldn't transfer the call either. Kept repeating the same canned message, "Your issue will be solved within 24 hours".
I have no clue what to do now. Since I don't have a receipt, I'm not sure if I can take my product for servicing if it develops issues. And, I have no clue why it takes so long to get a receipt! I mean, I've seen small shops telling you that you'd get a discount if you don't ask for a receipt, but Eureka Forbes?! What're they upto?!
Anyway, avoid Eureka Forbes whenever you can, because dealing with their customer service just isn't worth it. The vaccum cleaner I bought is pretty good though, so, it's hard to outright rule them out. They would be awesome if they fix their customer care(and teach their reps some manners).
