If the shoe fits... Review on Dumb And Dumber

Well, I think the name of this movie says it all. I've said I'm a big Jim Carrey fan but this is NOT one of his better films. The plot revolves around two idiotic loser roommates (Carrey and Jeff Daniels) that go through jobs more than they go through underwear, finding and spending a briefcase full of money that Carrey finds at the airport where he's working as a driver/chauffeur. The briefcase is left by the ''woman of his dreams'' (played by Lauren Holly) as part of some type of ''pickup/delivery'' payoff, and the rest of the movie is spent showing us how they ''borrow'' and spend their newly ''inherited millions'' as they follow this woman all the way to Aspen, Colorado, just to return the briefcase and so Carrey can win his woman (actually the two idiots end up arguing over her a number of times). The spending spree is somewhat amusing, but the only scenes I found even remotely humorous was the ski lift scene and the scene with Jeff Daniels in the bathroom (I'll leave the details up to the imagination ;o))

Carrey and Daniels both have done much better than this. I found myself more often than not shouting out ''You IDIOTS! What the heck are you DOING?'' (I won't even think of commenting on the ending) I was only curious about this movie because I am a huge fan of Jim Carrey's, but this was just NOT funny. Just, well...DUMB. Waste of time. Thumbs Down!
