I am basicaly from Pune & I went for bar hopping in the Chowrongee area in a sunday evening. However, I got disappointed, especially if u r habituated to sit in those gardens, open space bars in Pune.
Chung Wah is suffocating. The liquor costs more here. In same price, you can get same liquor with better ambience and service in Pune. Ambience got the good old touch of those British Raaj days. its ideal for the old poeple and their families, its notalgic for them.
One good thing is the food, its quite good. I had the mixed fried rice, and the taste was good, with lot of quantity, it had chicken, prawns, and eggs, chicken. I was with a friend; we felt it was enough for us. Though we had three bottles of beer prior to that, may be out stomach was full. Moreover, the food was good.
