Not going to waste our time talking about its opening scene and plot.
Alejandro G. Inarritu has written a story that deserves appreciation only till a certain extent. The plot, unfortunately, has nothing that will keep you glued to the screen and unsettled on the edge of the seat.
Though the only marvel this movie has produced that definitely needs appreciation is the way the movie has been shot and edited. Sheer brilliance and hard-work. The conceptualise something like this and execute it needs testicles of sorts. Technically, this movie has opened up avenues to innovative film-making but I still fail to understand that how or what did the academy see in the movie to award it so lavishly.
Anyway, watch the movie for the art of film-making and nothing else.
