I am writing my first review for my bike.
I live in Greater Noida ( Near Delhi-NCR). I have a 1 year old pulsar 150 ( got it I april 2007). It is a very good bike to drive and has given me a mileage of 45-50 with decent drive. I have to drive everyday for 80 km to and fro from work.
My bike has done approx 34 k km . Lately I have noticed that my bike has lost power. I have shown it to the auth service center guys and they have confirmed that I need to get the cylinder kit replaced since that the max life the kit weil last. I have confirmed it from one more service center and the person there as well has confirmed that new model pulsar needs overhaul at 30 km.
This is even when I regularly get the bike serviced and also get the oil changed every 1500- 1800( I get the bike serviced much before the 2000 km mark) and never share my bike. I always drive my bike at 45- 55 km speed range
More than 90% of time I am the the lone rider.This is a rude shock for me and I and not recommending this bike to anyone.
The only saving grace is that the service center guys always give good service( since I know the owner personally). 3 of my co workers wanted to buy pulsar But I recommend Unicorn to them (Honda technology) It is time the bajaj guys pulled up their act and improve the quality of the products they are selling in the market.
I now repent selling Calibre and going for a Pulsar.
PS : I have extended warranty for the bike and still don't know if the cylinder kit will be replaced under warranty.
Guys, do not go for a PULSAR until you don't have any other option.
