I have been to shubh jewellers few times with my wife. they say there is no making charges on jewellery but its not true. To tell you a few facts, I know usually gold ornaments are made in 22 carat not in 24 carats, that is ornamental gold(22 carat) not in 24 carat which is usually 200 to 300 Rs more than 22 carat gold/gram. when you buy jewellery here they charge us for the gold rate of that day.
Usually everyone knows the rate for 24 carat gold which will be shown everywhere & heard everywhere and not that of 22 carat which is usually 200 to 300 Rs lower/gram. so we end up paying 200 to 300 Rs more/gram of 22 carat jewellery. That is how they are getting more than making charges in shubh. Ask specifically whether its 22 or 24 carat you will get your answer very easily.
Pros: compared to some other jewellers I think the purity of the gold(22 carat) that you get to hear is better than others.
So whenever you buy something, ask whether its 22 or 24 carat, you will get your answer yourself.
