The recent global recession has paved the way for the emergence of a new world order wherein countries like China, India and Brazil will play a major role.
Even oil giants like Venezuela and certain central Asian republics will have their say.
The rebounding of Russia and its spreading influence in central Asia will leave the erstwhile economic giants like US, EU and Japan on the sidelines. The likely unification of the Koreas in future would also be a matter of great interest.
The UN norm on the permanent membership of Security Council will also see a paradigm shift sooner than later as the US dominance or the unipolar world concept will also wane away, resulting in the formation of new power centres.
Till such time let us keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.
