For me HARDLECHASE a writer who specialised on detective type novel writing which was craze before the invention of internet or even television channels.
this is a diary hence put the feelings I felt on this thrill writer.
i never felt bored reading his series of novels because the stories moved so fast as if I took part in the action writing.
whether it is love secene or robbery scene or any action the speed was there, one could feel the movement of the thief or the police or any person involved in his writings.
i am really happy for having read so many books and now alas his books are not much sought, may be in none of his novels there is any mention of computers, cables or mobile phone my god it was payphone or std booths.
the car will stop infront of the village or town std booth and he will make a call to land line phones, and she will be waiting for the call of him, since one had to phone previous day to be informed of,
so dif to meet each other, one had to wait infront of the girls house from morning to evening till her dad leave for office and mom leave for vegtable market.
hence events were like from morning to evening errands of waiting for her, after meeting her that is by throwing stone at her window she will know he has come, now sure of mom is not there she will cat walk or eve walk to the predetermined place that is nearest park and make vibe with him.
if chase were to write in todays world, his novel cant be more than five pages, because he wrote not much plots ,the plots were more of fighting and running away in the stolen car,
lots of money staking at the back of the car ,changing the car number plate, and registering in a false name, there was no identity card in those days,
only improvement was there was this thing clled girl freind and boyfreind,
now going to bar, sipping and spending time as the cabaret girl dance and he knows her she wink and give him secret code to open the chest ,that belonged to the owner of the bar.
my diary stops here since I should not write this like a novel,it is just nostalgic reminscent.
