I looked up to the sky
And asked Him ‘Why?’
I am not sure he heard me so I asked him again
It seemed like forever as I begged him for rain
The rain of mercy, the rain of happiness,
If money came by then that would be a plus
I’ve been waiting patiently all in vain
Obedience pays so I am told
It’s been a while since I grew old
I waited for Him to shower thee
Little realizing what was destiny
For as I speak, my parched throat hurts
It screamed through my ears informing my soul
That this was life and it ended before I blinked
I’ve been clinging on to a diamond and I thought it was Coal
As I was wading across and begging for more
It suddenly struck twelve and it was time for my spirit to soar!!!
