The Warrior

I have written a review on Osho's The book of Man yesterday. Here I use the place to quote few thoughtful quotes from him which I found excellent. I have focused on only one point for more clarity.

"To be a warrior doesn't mean to be a soldier, it is a quality of the mind."

"Just imagine two people with drawn swords encountering each other: can they think? If they think, they will miss. Thinking stops; when swords are drawn, thinking stops. They cannot plan because if they pan, in that moment, the other will hit."

"When you are sitting on your chair, you can think, but when you are facing an enemy, you cannot think."

"While facing a snake, you jump, and that jump comes out of your being; it comes before thought. You jump first and then you think. This is what I mean by the quality of a warrior: action comes without thinking, action is without mind; action is total. You can become a warrior without going to war…"

"Every child is a warrior and every old man is a businessman. How every warrior becomes a businessman is a long story."

"The warrior mind says, 'the known has been known already, now there is nothing in it; it has become a burden and to carry it is useless. The unknown must be known now, and I must risk the known for the unknown.' And if you can risk, totally risk, not preserving anything, not paying tricks with yourself, not withholding anything, suddenly the unknown envelops you. And when it comes, you become aware that it is not only the unknown, it is the unknowable. It is not against the known, it is beyond the known. To move in this darkness, to move in that uncharted place without an7y maps and without any pathways, to move alone into that absolute, the quality of the warrior is needed."

"Be childlike and you will be warriors again…"

I personally had full faith in Jesus's words "Whosoever clings to life, whosoever tries to preserve it, will lose it; and whosoever is ready to lose it, will preserve it". I tested this many a time and found quite true. It is difficult for us to conceive the idea but the secret is that when we permit ourselves to release from the worries our best efforts will get a chance to play which bring good results.

I also had experience that wherever I start thinking in a competition I used to fail in that particular moment. Not once or twice and thereafter I used to tell myself that I should not think of anything else but of the challenge. When Osho mentioned those words I could easily identify with it.

At the end, when Osho say it is 'Unconditional absoluteness' is the ultimate quality of a warrior, I know myself that I am not that warrior but I wish and I hope to be a warrior for my dreams.

Just sharing my thoughts in line with Osho…I am sure you too must have similar thought where I can see a lot of excellent warriors in one way or other in MS. So… just leaving those thoughts for your consideration. Consider them as Osho says when you have some time to pour on. If you are in a task, complete it and think when you are free.

Have a good day warrior!!
