Just got a stack of books delivered last night. Had to unpack them in secret to hide the drool dripping from my fangs and the look of desire in my eyes. BH wld have been scared if confronted with this avataar. The list includes:
The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger - just to have my own copy,
Friday's Child by Georgette Heyer - I believe the last book needed to complete my collection,
Maximum City by Suketu Mehta - heard a lot of praise for this one,
Love in the time of Cholera by Marquez - have been dying to read this for a long time
The Inheritance of Loss by Kiran Desai - finally,
The Palace of Illusions by Chitra Banerjee - finally 2,
and, the Memoirs of Cleopatra by Margaret George - just because!
Bit busy with work so I cant get at them immediately :( I wonder which one I shall start on first. I think it will be Palace, as Smita knows I have been looking forward to it for over a month now. The anticipation is killing me .....
