First of all let me give you a standing ovation for the way you have handled the incident. All of us commit mistakes but men and men only own up. Defending a mistake is the worst thing you could have done and I'm glad you avoided the temptation.
You know a well-read lady chatting with me recently said that she comes to MS only to read your scribblings. Now I'm sure most of us will give our right hands to get that kinda compliment. I was looking for an opportune moment to break the good news to you but…
Personal disagreements aside, most of us are unanimous in our submission that you are one of the best things to have happened to this site. People come here because of you. Had the same mistake been committed by a mortal, no one would have bothered. But the standards you have set for yourself in the past have made this indiscretion look like a blunder. People are always disappointed when idols fall.
You are right, trust once broken can never be mended. But I feel in todays world where people always look for an opportunity to blame others, your admission of your mistake and the corrective actions taken thereafter speak volumes about your character. Sometimes being cornered is the best thing that can happen to us. We come out stronger and more resilient than ever. You have probably recovered half of what you lost courtesy this masterstroke.
I am confident that you'll recover the balance soon. Good Luck and
Best Regards. Always.
PS - I wanted to write this as a comment but MS deleted the Review ! Good that it did. I want everyone to know the Man you are.
