Sector 8 C, Chandigarh, 1210 hrs. I was just out from the IDBI bank after getting my bank draft.
My bike was parked in the paid parking. while getting the bike parked, I was tempted to park at the vacant space just outside the bank, but realized that it may obstruct the pedestrian to cross the area. I took another 2-3 minutes to find a place far away from `that` place.
Now, I was going back. But to my surprise, I was not able to come out as at the same place where I avoided parking, someone had parked!!. I needed to call the attendant for the help and wasted some five minutes. Never mind, I kept going towards Panchkula to the Regional centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University.
I was in hurry to reach there as I had to join my duty in one hour.
There came a roundel and I felt a slight jerk from the back. I immediately turned back and saw that the back portion of my bike was hit by the white BMW car. I tried to see the driver. He was an aged person and was seen with a genuine sorry face for the hit. He also seemed to have uttered the word `sorry`.
I also gave a smile to him and kept moving.
Wow, what a satisfying feeling of forgiving for other`s mistake, I had.
I feel, if we can have a little consideration for other`s mistakes, many unpleasant memories could easily be avoided.
