Ink Dissolves

By: austen_inspired Verified Member MouthShut Verified Member | Posted Nov 12, 2009 | General | 207 Views | (Updated Nov 12, 2009 02:03 PM)

(A short poem penned after spilling my coffee on the morning paper.)

I discovered that ink dissolves;

Yet, forever its stain lingers

To be read over by strangers,

On the other side of the world.

Friend, what does roll down their faces, but tears?

Emotional and rational separation

Caused by a line of words in a newspaper

Not even set to Rhyme.
