IMessage is busted and Apple admits it!

IMessage has long had problems when it comes to interacting with non-Apple devices, it seems the company has finally made peace with the fact. They have been rolling with lots of bug fixes.

iMessage transfers messages across Apple's servers to allow Iphone users to message for free. The problem begins when you change the platform, most of your messages remain with Apple and are not transferred to your device completely and new messaged sent fails to reach your new phone as traditional sms.

Users can turn off the iMessage service to mitigate the problem, but the issue persists if the user happens to sell his device without disabling the service. Apple has been sued by a customer for being unable to fulfill their wireless service contracts.

The growing backlash has now forced Apple to address the problem directly.

“We recently fixed a server-side iMessage bug which was causing an issue for some users, and we have an additional bug fix in a future software update,” the company told Re/code in a statement Thursday. It’s not clear when the new bug fix will be implemented.
