I, The Liar

"Nobody in this world speaks 100% lies. I do. Trust me" - the posters of Jim Carrey's 'Liar Liar' had this written on top of it.

Post Indian team's pathetic performance in the T20 World Cup & the tri-series in Zimbabwe I was fuming and was very disappointed with the results going against us. I almost decided (in frustration) that I would not watch the game for sometime, at least till my frustration dies.

True love defeats everything and I don't like cricket, I love cricket. So when the Asia Cup started on 15th June at 2 pm India time I was sitting in front of the TV, all set to watch the first encounter of Asia Cup between Pakistan & Sri Lanka, which the latter won by 16 runs.

Half way through the match I laughed at the child in me, because just a week ago I was furious & now I was watching the game with same enthusiasm that I have shown in each & every match that I have watched so far. It was as if someone remote controlled me the moment the game started & brought me in front of the TV.

With India winning their first game against Bangladesh handsomely with a bonus point, the energy level to watch the next game has increased.

Pathetic performance. Useless players. I will never watch them again. Blah Blah Blah ....., & what not I have spoken. But when the game begins I am the first one to be in front of the TV to watch them. I am such a liar. But who am I telling lies to? Ha ha ha. I have realised that my love for the game will never die.

Let us hope we lift the Asia Cup this time. Good luck team India.
