Legendary Australian wicket-keeper Adam Gilchrist took retirement from the Test Cricket after the 4th Test ends against India . He will also take formal retirement from ODIs with the upcoming IND-AUS-SL tri-series.
Gilchrist has the following records in his name:
1.Maximum number of dismissals in ODIs as wicket-keeper.
2.Maximum number of dismissals in Tests as wicket-keeper.
3.Holds the world record of maxium 6s in Test history.
4.Continuously played in the last 96 test matches that Australia played in (without missing even a single).
5.Was part of prestigious Australian Team that won the consecutive ICC World Cups in 2001, 2004 and 2007.
6.Holds Australian record of fastest 100 and 200 runs in Test matches.
