ROBINHOOD PANDEY ARRIVES TOMORROW!
Salman Khan has always been a darling of the masses and not the classes. His personality, mannerisms and at times his streetsmart personality click instantly with the single screen audience and not with the multiplex junta. His films, too, used to open big in single screens than in multiplexes. No one ever predicted that one day a film like Dabangg (*ing Salman) will arrive that would win everyone’s hearts, be it masses or classes. Yes, Dabangg is a film that has aroused highest curiosity and never before any Salman film have generated huge craze among all section of audiences!
Salman in the film plays a bad cop Chulbul Pandey aka Robinhood Pandey. His moustache look and cool style (as evident from the promos) has impressed one and all. Debutant Sonakshi Sinha looks stunning and different from the rest of the skinny females who arrive month after month in some film or the other. Songs are too good and Sajid-Wajid-Salman combo seems to have succeeded once again!
Although Dabangg is an action drama, it has still managed to arouse curiosity among female audiences who usually shun such films. Also the violent isn’t gory and producer Arbaaz Khan claims that ‘Dabangg is a film for the whole family’! That wasn’t the case withWanted, Salman’s last year’s blockbuster. A section of moviegoing audience was not interested at all in the film. Also it had acquired ‘A’ certificate from the censor board. Dabangg, on the other hand, has got ‘U/A’ certificate. Dil Bole Hadippa had released simultaneously with Wanted. But no other film is releasing tomorrow with Dabangg! We Are Family (WAF) was scheduled to release tomorrow but the craze that the promo of Dabangg created when it was unveiled in July made the producers of WAF realize that releasing their film with a film like Dabangg would be foolhardy. Hence, WAF was preponed by a week!
With so many plusses in its favour, Dabangg is sure to take an earth-shattering opening tomorrow! Tomorrow beingEid and Saturday being Ganesh Chaturthi, Dabangg couldn’t have arrived at a better time! Its 3 day business will be phenomenal and it’ll be interesting to know whether it can surpass the 1st week business of Raajneeti, the biggest blockbuster of 2010 so far! Although Dabangg looks like a hot product, there are chances that it might not turn out to be that great as expected. Even then the film will get its audience and will be in the safe zone! Let’s wait and watch!
