DO YOU LISTEN OR HEAR ? (A POEM)
Do you listen or hear?
Well, you think it is the same.
But both really are different;
Therein lies the rub!
When a message of significance
Is pronounced by a wise old sage,
You only hear it first vaguely
And do not at all listen!
Most maxims are easy to hear,
A minute or two is enough.
But for the idea to percolate
It might be ages ere you listen!
That is just the beginning
When wisdom and Awareness set in!
