Hi there. If youre a music producer you might hear your friends recommending you to use Studio Headphones instead of Normal Headphones. Now as a layman you might think that all the head phones are same and there is no much difference between them except for the sound and the bass quality.Your'e Wrong!!
Well, there is a huge difference between normal headphones and Studio headphones, and the difference is noise cancellation technology that is being used in some of the costly headphones.Companies like JBL,Skull candy and Sony use the noise cancellation technology in their head phones so that a small parth2111 of high frequencies which is generally referred as noise is being filtered out. They do this because they want to deliver you the best sound at affordable price.
But for a music producer or for a singer this might become a big problem.Often music producers require headphones that deliver the exact signals produced in the computer, without any attenuation(Cutting out of frequencies). All they need is a flat response of the output. If they use headphones that has noise cancellation in it they might hear a slightly different sound(mainly at higher frequencies) and when they play it in the big speakers the result may vary.
So, now you know the difference between normal headphones and noise cancellation headphones.Congrats.
