The year 2008 is coming to an end and bollywood/hollywood is hoping on catching a great end to another fantastic year for movies!
Bollywood saw the advent of animation at new heights with movies like "Roadside Romeo" with first time animation in bollywood with combined efforts of "Yashraj" and "Disney"!
And hatke films like "Dasavidaniya", "Maharathi" etc..
In hollywood, films like "Dark knight", "Transporter 3", "Wall-E","Horton hears a hoo" and some such great flicks, did wonders, & hollywood has some great surprises this year end too!
The upcoming bollywood/hollywood flicks to watch out for -
1) Jumbo - Voiced by Akshay kumar (working in animation for the first time) as the baby elephant (wonder how would akshay sound like as a baby elephant haha!)! A bright prospect on the lines of "Horton hears a hoo" I think, but with Akshay kumar tadka its bound to be an entertainer!
2) Raaz 2 (Mystery continues) - Our serial kisser Emraan hashmi is back with Raaz 2, and I hope this one is not another phoonk! :)
3) Australia - starring Hugh Jackman, nicole kidman a story set in just before pearl harbour, about a young girl fighting for her rights!
This ones a winner already and would surely be a winner here!
4) Madagascar 2 - This friday(19 dec), madagascar 2 is releasing, and I am not going to miss it :)
Alex, Marty and the hippo, and ive heard there is this budding romance between the giraffe and the hippo lol! I am in :)
5) Bolt - Another animation flick, box office giant, probably would be releasing in early jan!
There are other movies like "The day the earth stood still", with keanu reeves, which has got not so good reviews, so I would give it a miss!
For me the most awaited one would be "Wolverine" (x-men4), but alas its releasing in May 2009! a Long Wait! :(
With animation films like "Jumbo",I think bollywood finally has understood that animation in hindi movies should not only be about mythology I guess, but ive heard there's "Arjun" another animation flick coming in 2009! Guess we would have to make a guess on that! :)
Lets be optimistic !! :)
