Another IPL semi final seems to be heading for an interesting finish. I was damm sure that Jaipur royals were in the reckoning for the finals. The way they batted in a nerve racking manner from the beginning sealed the fate in favour of Jaipur royals. After departure of Shewag even the remotest chance vanished for Delhi dare devils. The match became one sided.
Taking a cue from the above match it is advisable for side winning the toss electing to bat and put up a decent total. Any score above 150 will be a winning score in the wankadhe pitch. Batting become difficult in the second innings with the due factor. The ball does not travel on the ground, but going ballistic invites the risk of dismissal.
Yuvraj has the Preity support and cheer to back them up. All the bollywood stars will definitely root for Punjab. Dhoni too will have his support from lot of hot females from the mumbai crowd. It is totally fun and fun only for the Mumbai crowd, with not much of sentimentals attached since the home team is out of the reckoning.
I am sure to the extent of 90% the team winning the toss will end up as winners, unless the team performs very badly in not setting up a score above 120. In that case team batting second will win without any fuss. A run a ball equation is comfortable to beat.
Hope this match at least beats the expectation of the crowd who pay through their nose to watch the T20 action. Most of the IPL matches have not lived upto the expectation of the T20 world cup which was a thriller and hit. Of course the cheer gals too are getting tired of one sided matches. They too have lost the zing in their steps.
I only wish the crowd gets their value of entertainment in this game apart from the media created clash of the captains. Yuvraj vs Dhoni. Both are bachelors and have tremendous fan following.
