Calendars

It is the beginning of the year. Time for exchanging greetings in whichever way possible. That includes greeting cards(few and far between) and of course new year calendars. It is time to put away the old and embrace the new in the year 2015. So, how do you know it is 2015 or was 2014? Of course the calendars. We cannot do without them, can we? They are not just a click away, but they do adorn our walls. The calendars are indispensable and by which we know where we stand at any time during the year. Is it christmas or well, new year itself, we are governed by the days and dates. The 365 days a year may present itself as a pot-pourri and it is upto us to bring about the necessary developments that either better our life or make it worse. Everything is not in our hands and I believe it is partly our efforts and partly left to what is called "fate"(that includes the inexplicable) that determines the events in one's life. Today, I have got quite a number of calendars adorning the walls of my apartment. We did not conciously purchase them but they have come in on their own from different sources and now they are vying for space on the wall along with other pictures and decorative articles. Some of them are kind of askew but they are serving the purpose allright. It is actually Dad's department to put up the calendars and tear up the dates as we tide over each day. I am optimistic about 2015 as I was with 2014 or 2013. I wonder what the days and dates have in store this year; Here's hoping for the best. Prost or should I say, Zum vohl? I am learning German, which I started last year and my new year resolution is to carry it forward in the year 2015. How is 2015 going to treat us, we can only wait and watch.
