Birthdays & Fools day

One of my friend is born on April 1st. The all fools day. So today we will speak about birthdays and Fools days.

During our school/college days, we used to have fun during this day, making fools of friends. One day unintentionally we fooled our neighbour uncle. We seriously went to the girl's house, (and from outside to cover our laugh ) informing her that a call has come for her. We did not expect her father to come to attend the call, I had to run back to his home to tell that our intention was to call Akka, and we did not expect him to come. Luckily he took it easy.

About wishing birthdays in midnight. Yesterday being the year's closing day, we worked till about 8PM and were very  much tired. Generally we have to come back to work on the 1st April by 6 AM. So this friend of mine already tired due to the mental work that we had done, wanted to sleep and sleep well. Unluckily, being his birthday everyone called started calling him right from midnight 12. His sleep was disturbed and he came to office at 745PM but with a tired look!

I am seriously against people celebrating birthdays at 12 midnight! In normal ways, days start only with sunrise. By disturbing a friend at night, we are not able to help him visit the temple, which generally our  friends do on Birthdays. Our culture also has the custom to get up early in the morning on birthdays, which will also be diluted. Wake up at 6AM to wish birthday to your friends, and make him happy. I prefer 7AM to 9 AM as a good option unless the person drives to the duty.

As for the fools days. This day is when we dont fool jokingly, We fool to some extent to the Govt, by taxation adjustments. Stock verifications etc and maybe a reason why Apr 1 is a fools day along with Financial year's first day!

This is for today
