Thanks a Ton for the overwhelming response to the idea of BigMate.
And if you are itching to get bi*ching, its about time we started...
THE SIMPULL RULES
(1) BigMate will start with 11-12 participants called "inMates". List of inMates to be disclosed in 1st episode. We will have one episode every week with 2 eliminations. Episode will usually start on Monday/Tuesday and deadline for commenting will be specified therein (usually Friday/Saturday).
(2) 1st episode starts on October 11 evening/October 12 morning.
(3) In addition to inMates, some MSians will be forming part of the 'crowd'. Those registered as crowd will have voting rights for deciding on whom to eliminate.
(4) We will also have an independant team of Panelists (even RAW doesnt know who they are) comprising experienced and widely rRajeev_Vermacted MSians. They will have voting rights and will also be responsible for choosing best/worst/most humourous comments for every episode.
(5) At the start of every episode, a new topic will be given on which all participants will be expected to make at least 5 comments (similar to dialogues, on the DP itself). The topics will be chosen so as to encourage a lively discussion. Guidelines for commenting is mentioned separately below.
(6) BigMate can intervene anytime if situation demands, for moderation, arbitration and imposing penalties if necessary
(7) On the basis of comments made by inMates, at the end of each episode all inMates, ex-inMates, Panelists and crowd will send their votes by mail/M2M to me within one day of completion of deadline. Format for voting is outlined in comment 1.
(8) On the basis of weighed averages of all votes, two persons will be eliminated in the next episode. Final episode will feature 3 participants from which winner will be chosen.
GUIDELINES FOR COMMENTING
(1) Each inMate is expected to make a minimum of 5 proper comments ('Hmmm' is not a comment). Above that he can make any number. This will likely be increased as no. of inmates go down.
(2) The comments can be a reflection of the inMate's stance on the given topics or replies/rejoinders to other comments. There is no right or wrong stance.
(3) InMates are requested to make incisive comments on the topic and refrain from passing personal remarks on fellow MSians. Needless to mention that comments found to be rude/insulting/defamatory by the BigMate panelists will attract appropriate action that may go as far as expulsion from the Contest (or even worse like having lunch with Rakhi, the Sawant)
(3) No comment related to the topic under discussion shall be made on any post other than where the Contest is being held.
(*) A time of 5 days is being given for commenting on each episode. However, in case a member is still unable to login/comment, he should inform us well in advance citing reasons. He/she may be disqualified/retained upon the discretion of panelists.

Winner of Best/Worst/Most humorous Comment every episode - 150 MS points each
We have contacted several moneyed sponsors including NASA, BCCI and SRK. Prizes will be increased in case they chip in :-P
