Reviewed Wonder Woman (2017)

Jun 14, 2017 04:51 PM 989 Views

In the realm of superhero films, Marvel Universe is clearly the current market leader with the Avengers series going strong. The DC Universe made a feeble attempt towards introducing Justice League in its 2016 film “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” where Wonder Woman was introduced. And for t...Read more

For a long time, I don't remember struggling for tickets. Multiplexes and apps had just made things too easy. But then, India's most expensive film to date, Baahubali seems to have changed the whole demand game. Instead of media hype that is typical of Bollywood, it was actually word of mouth pu...Read more

If you thought that online shopping and awesome deals had arrived in India and Groupon was the way forward, you'd be terribly disappointed. It's extremely messy, utterly disorganized and the customer service is awful and unresponsive. In August this year, I'd placed an order for an Orange col...Read more

Mockingjay While this movie might just be the big release that Bollywood needs this weekend, I may just end up watching Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part-1.

Wow, nice to see a dissenting review. Well, I too wrote about similar issues of misplaced logic (like those you have pointed out in para 3). Problem is that Nolan Bhakts get carried away by all the extravaganza and get a pseudo intellectual kick an think of themselves are intelligent. Wish they coul...d see the twisted logic of the film.Read More

@prasu.sreeju @GRuchirG Thanks for your comments. On agreeing or disagreeing, it is just a matter of preferences/ opinions :) While I like Sc-Fi as a genre, I like it as long as it is logical. Somewhere, Nolan makes a pretense of being logical but isnt. That's my problem with Inception & Interstella...r. Nonetheless, I've loved his other movies like The Dark Knight and Memento.Read More

Alert: The review may contain Spoilers mentioned to illustrate some key plot elements! Whenever he makes a film, Christopher Nolan is either playing around with time or delving into drama. His best experiment with time was the non-linear narrative of ‘Memento’ and his best written characters ...Read more

@sachinaxis Thanks for the feedback. If you didn't like DDLJ, it's quite likely that there may be a bit of generation gap. There is a chance however that you may like the same story told in a relatively modern setting with current generation actors. Just guessing.

nice review Fenil.. By the film's premise, it was doomed to be a disaster.. it's the case of directors trying to push the envelope of stupid comedy further and further till the point that it breaks.. looks like Humshakals was the breaking point.. didn't see the film anyways..

Nice review Fenil.. Per se, I didn't want to see this movie as I thought that the story line would be too akin to a Telugu movie, which is how it comes across from the plot discussed here. Nonetheless, it is good to know that both the debutantes are good actors from your point of view.. Cheers!!

For someone who usually reviews movies, a book review seems odd.
