Woodville Palace is one of the most sought after and also very royal looking hotels at Simla , Himachal Pradesh.
I went to Simla 2-3 months back and I had an opportunity to visit this exquisite hotel for the first time. Though we did not stay there , we had our lunch and dinner in it's restaurant. The whole palace was converted into a hotel some 40-50 years back and is the favourite amongst the tourists .
All the wall are covered with green branches during the season of monsoon and looks simply out of the world .
The rooms also have not left the rich feel of royal families residing there .Each and every wall is covered with pictures and frames of the royal family which stayed there.
The carpets are extremely exquisite, and also the minutest decorations in it .
I loved the place and for sure i'll stay there the next time I visit Simla.
And yes! The scene from the movie 3-idiots where kareena is supposedly getting married to someone else has been shot here only.
Now, you might get an idea as to what exactly I am talking about.
