The new TVS Akula 310 will be launched this year. The Indian two-wheeler manufacturer will be introducing several of its new bikes in India. Akula means Shark in Russian. The concept of the bike showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo had very aggressive styling, just like that of a Shark. The TVS Akula 310 has the styling of a shark.
This comes with a 310cc engine that will be a single-cylinder engine, designed and developed by TVS and BMW.
Akula 310 shall be a direct competition to the KTM RC 390, Kawasaki Ninja 300 .This is if you compare these bikes to the full faired bikes only. On the other hand, the other competing bikes include the BMW G310R, Mahindra Mojo, Bajaj Dominar 400, Yamaha FZ25 and the KTM Duke 390. TVS is doing exactly what Bajaj has done, offering global technology at a highly affordable pricing.
