If you want to see this movie just because its directed by Anupam Kher, then I suggest that you drop it from your schedule. If three heroes in a film excites you, then I suggest that you look out for other films.
I watched it just because my friend begged me to come along.
So the story goes about three brothers - Anil Kapoor the eldest, Fardeen Khan the middle and Abhishek Bachchan the youngest.
Not many good points, so heres the lowdown -
Om (Anil Kapoor) takes a loan from a friend (pots of money). But never realises that his friend has put in a clause of capturing his house if he doesnt pay up. Om is either dumb or has never taken a loan in his life. He cant pay up and his friend ultimately takes over the house. How believable is that!
Waheeda Rehman as the brothers' mother is completely wasted. Good acting talent and experience going to waste is so sad.
Jagdish (Abhishek Bachchan) hacks into the Mumbai University website and leaks out the question papers. Since when did Mumbai Univ start getting so tech savvy. If this was so then the Univ would never witness yearly protests from students!
The brothers are named Om, Jai and Jagdish. The reason - their father wanted to utter their names in the same breath. So how did their father know he would have 3 sons! Or did he change their names after all three were born!
The most incredible of all - Jagdish presents his anti-hacking application software to a mega-super-duper software company in Bangalore in 100 seconds and impresses them. And guess what, that company agrees to pay whatever it takes to buy his house in Bombay back at an auction. The company pays 20 crores for the house at the auction. Didnt the company think that the whole auction might have been a fraud? The only people bidding against each other were the Om-Jai-Jagdish family and the representative from the company!!
Talk about hackneyed stories! And Anupam Kher isnt too great as a director either. Urmila Matondkar and Mahima Chaudhary are wasted. Too many heroes and heroined, too little to watch!
