The worst experience I ever had with Movers and packers is with No broker. I took a premium package of 2 bedroom "heavy" even after being suggested by the shifting manager that I can go with economy and 2 bedrooms light. Even after taking the most expensive package, I have gone through a lot of stress and a lot of manual labor.
While packing they were reluctant to use bubble wrap to crockery items. My entire stuff including the furniture was to be bubble wrapped as per the package I took.
I had to break my head multiple times and had to fight with the guys to bubble wrap my crockery item, even then one full box of my crockery was packed with newspaper.
They will insist you to pack your expensive items in foam sheets, they are nothing but reusable dirty cloth with a very thin layer of foam inside it, which won’t protect any damage.
I had boxes of all electronic boxes but they were packed recklessly without the Thermocol which came with it, they had just thrown it on the floor and took the washing machine without any protection.
A team of 7 or 8 members came where everyone wants to dump the entire stuff as it is. And you cannot concentrate due to the team size they send, and I believe it is intentional.
The moment you place an inquiry, the promises they make you will feel if you book through them, you just need to sit and relax and everything will be taken care of by them but it's dead opposite to what they promise you.
The moment they send you a link the shifting manager will call you every 15 to 20 minutes and ask you to book through them. Promising the shifting manager will be available all the time once you make the payment for all your queries and to help you is a big lie from them.
The moment you are done with booking the shifting manager stops picking your calls and it is routed to some other call center agent who has no details of the past conversation. It is also promised to you the number they ask you to save as your shifting manager is his/her landline number and will directly land to him, which is a pure lie. After I did the booking, not even a single call landed to his landline. Other call center agents were picking it up and when I requested to hand it over to the shifting manager, they said he was busy, not available etc.
I was promised that the shifting manager would do the coordination with the vendor(movers and packers), I had to do the entire coordination and work with the local vendor. Who had no idea what was promised and he wanted to get it done in bare minimum packing material and efforts.
The person assigned as my shifting manager was supposed to be available on the number provided which is the direct landline of the shifting manager. He was well aware of the shifting date and time, and he was our shifting manager based on the booking and later on the date when we tried reaching him, we got to know the number given to us as direct landline was No broker support number not someone’s direct landline. After multiple calls we could not reach him and later the agents gave another set of lies to us, the shifting manager login time is at 12 PM(when he was assigned as our shifting manager knowing the shifting slot, we booked is of morning 8 AM to 10 AM, the shifting manager is on leave, shifting manager is on week off. I am still wondering how the person who is on weekly off and login at 12 PM was assigned as our shifting manager when the Shifting was supposed to happen between 8 to 10 AM.
Now coming to the loading and unloading, they were in super hurry to do this without understanding the value of the item they are carrying. Everything was dumped in the boxes, even the garbage collectors will have been little careful compared to these guys while lifting garbage.
We clearly mentioned there is no service lift in the apartments and yet they insisted on asking if they can use the lift when I said they can’t and the manager is not here to check if small items which are light can be carried in the lift. They themselves went to security and asked if they can and when security said only small and list items and one or 2 box at a time, below are the list of items which were carried at one and the lift was stopped for 15 to 20 minutes every time to unload the items as the entire lift they dumped with the boxes and even furniture, resulting in lift failure

When it came to unpacking the items, we were told please empty the boxes as we need to leave and do it fast, this is the premium package where they promise we will take care of everything. After arranging the bed and Sofa entire things were dumped on them on the floor. Half of the boxes were not even unpacked, majorly the ones which they were aware of are glass and crockery items. Expensive clothes were packed in dirty and reused shitty boxes and when unpacked were thrown on floor, when multiple times we asked them not to do so they were not ready to keep them in shelves and after so much of arguments they agreed to throw them in wardrobes but running in between rooms was difficult and we found many boxes were just turned upside down to do the unpacking in bedroom balconies wherever they could find place.
If I would have stressed them and gotten multiple conversations in terms of requests to arguments, we would have also been found buried under the stuff they were dumping on the floor.
The amount of stress and workload we had because of going through movers and packers is unexplainable. Going through a loading truck and throwing the stuff in that will be less stressful and going through Movers and Packers.
After the booking amount was paid, they were less bothered, The Vendor was provided with our number where the promise was that the shifting manager will do the coordination. After date confirmation the shifting manager never gave a call to us nor was he there to help us which was promised and I still do not understand why the shifting manager who will not be available during the date and time is assigned to us. Till date no one including shifting manager called us to check if the shifting was done or not if it was proper, so this is how the shifting manager is going to help you out.
Better to use a local movers and packers knowing the risk is yours than getting sold lies from No Broker.
