The D40 is Nikon’s entry-level DSLR and one of the most affordable models around.I am not a photography expert or a camera dealer but , I gifted this piece to my cousin last week on his birthday and thia guy heart was brimming with joy it was like he got his dream camera.The D40 is Nikon’s smallest and lightest DSLR camera yet – and also the easiest to operate. The sensor in the D40 is the same 6mp CCD made by Sony that was used in the D50 ( and D70s) , So the picture quality is beyond fantasy.
