Cheap n tacky... Review on Neal N Nikki

AIM OF THE EXPERIMENT:To make a hit film

PROCEDURE:Take a beaker labelled YASH RAJ FILMS...Carry it to some beautiful foreign location...(Example Australia,London,Amsterdam, in this case lets take it to Canada..Vancouver)...Take a metro-sexual guy and a skimpily clad girl as the main protagonists..If they are NRI's ,even better...Some humorous situations,double-meaning dialogues,cleavage and skin show,unnecessary smooching and special appearances by top-stars act as catalyst..But,wait we will need a promoter as well...I last read about chemical reactions some 6 years back but I remember catalyst and promoters both are required to speeden up the reaction...So a good music score acts a promoter...We will require one peppy title track,one punjabi wedding song,one romantic feel good number,one dance number in a nightclub so our skimpily clad girl can show off her assets....

RESULT:KABOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CONCLUSION: UDAY CHOPRA ain't no SHAHRUKH KHAN,even though he tries to copy him shamelessly,YASH RAJ's sure formulae for a hit finally fails at the box-office...

STORY:

Set in Canada,N&N is story of Gurneal Alhuahlia aka NEAL(Uday Chopra) and Nikita Bakshi aka NIKKI(Tanisha) born and bred in Canada..

Neal gives into his parents' wishes of marrying a girl called Sweetie [Richa Pallod] from Bhatinda, but has just one pre-condition. He wants to live it up one last time and go to Vancouver on a 21-day bachelor vacation

He is just about to get lucky on the first day itself when a spunky indian girl ruins his evening..the girl in question??NIKI...

NEAL 'N' NIKKI charters the same path as most love stories: Boy meets girl, they can't stand each other initially, but fall in love subsequently, there are obstacles and misunderstandings…

Frankly, there's no story as such. And you realize it all through the first 45 minutes

MERITS N DEMERITS

Well,there are no merits in the movie as such...Uday Chopra is not such a bad actor but I think he should be sticking to DHOOM type roles,where he plays second fiddle..He doesn't have the looks,charisma or talent to carry a film on his shoulders...In N&N,you just can't digest Uday Chopra scoring over so many girls in just his first encounter with them..

Tanisha hams throughout..She gets on your nerves with her high pitched shriek....And her outfits and make-up..The less said,the better...i mean the girl looks presentable in salwar kameez..Take SARKAR and TANGO CHARLIE for instance...

GAURAV GERA aka NANDU of JASSI in his miniscule role provides some comic relief with his wooden expressions...

However CANADA has been shot brilliantly,and some outdoor locales look absolutely mezmerising...

CAUTION:Kids,don't watch this movie with your parents...Parents,don't watch it with your kids...

I mean ,at a point you start thinking..Hello,is this a Hindi movie or some cheap American teen comedy...

it's time YASHRAJ started giving the viewers something different rather than taking them on a fictious tour through the lives of NRI's.....
