In over 10 years of flying with them, they have always been polite (a little cold, but so am I) but most importantly for me, they are *punctual*, have never lost my luggage, and remember the little things that make a difference. For example, I want orange juice *all* the time, and they quickly learn to just walk past once in a while and fill up the glass.
If you like european food, then they are really really good. I'm told I'm unusual in liking the food on this airline, but it's my review, so if you disagree, write your own comments.
Pros:
Best route to the US East Coast - Bangalore-Frankfurt-(Newark OR JFK OR Boston)
Punctual, efficient
German Beer. The wines are pretty good too.
Cheese and chocolate cart has great stuff. Pity I'm already stuffed long before they bring this around.
Business lounges at Frankfurt are great and close to the gates.
In flight system is old, but has good choices. Different routes show different movies, so that's a plus.
Cons:
Staff appears to be a little cold and aloof.
Expensive.
They may not tell you that you may need a transit visa at Frankfurt if you don't have a valid US visa etc.
