I don't recommend you to ever go with LIC as what I finds is that their Agents could go on any extent to sell their policies.
My mother had brought some policies worth 5 lacks. The agent had told us about the good return after 5 years so my mother brought it up because of the name LIC as it was considered most valuable brand for policies.
After paying regular installments for 5 years what we get is the 12% less amount what was promised us 5 years ago.
When my mother talked to the agent for this he was not ready to listen. After regular attempts he said that the policies return was based on the market. But it was not taught us 5 years ago.
He had shown us the policies paper on which my mother's signature was there. We had no chance of doing something. We got looted of about 12% only because of the trust we had shown in that agent.
I will not at all recommend you to go for the LIC. If you are going, don't just blindly trust the agent. Read all the documents by itself.
