One of the main attraction at Jaisalmer is Sam dunes. We were to reach Desert Camp by 4: 30. So we started from town at 3 pm to visit Kuldhara and Khaba Fort on the way.
The place of full of tourists and bus loads of school kids.
Walking around the place and ruins, one does think of the misfortune of a once prosperous habitat being abandoned by a community for unknown reasons.
The place is managed by ASI India. There was littering all over the place. I talked to the guide, who mentioned that there is no restriction on carrying food / plastic bottle insides and there is no cleaning staff.
I sincerely wish ASI does something to maintain the place, which has potential to become a good place for tourists interested in history and architecture.
