I bought Anu Solar water heater almost 3 years back. I was promised that the inner tank was made of SS 304.[This is good quality steel material and good for bore well water ]. After 3 year it started liking. After several follow up with customer care, a service guy visited and asked me to replace the tank [Rs. 10, 000/-]. I asked simple question to their service person that “How come the SS 304 inner tank damaged? He didn’t answer and left.
Because replacing the tank is costly affair, I called a local repair guy to visit. As soon as he saw the solar, he told me that this is MS[iron]inner tank and nothing can be done. For my satisfaction, I asked him to open the outer shell to find completely rusted inner tank.
Being a Mechanical Engineer I was cheated by Aun solar. That is one part the other is the the rust is a poison. Hence I suggest everyone when you buying make sure that the inner tank is made of SS 304.
