BSNL EVDO - 2MBPS in Bangalore. Review on BSNL EVDO

I bought BSNL EVDO 2 Mbps last week. it has been  5 Days since I bought it. I had to pay 1500INR has deposit and get the EVDO card on rental. As of the Tarrif is concerned it is the cheapest, The service was - The card got activated in 3Hrs since I bought. It did not have the instruction for Username and password. however I manged to get it in half an hour.

BSNL promises 2 Mbps but as the EVDO network is not still up they tell its only 144 kbps but I get a max of 180kbps. It is uneven and not reliable. They promise to upgade the network after a month but not sure.

I have used the card in these areas of Bangalore

1. Chandralayout- network signal good , Speed unstable. works fine after 12 Mid night till 9 am . The speed will crawl from then till evening

2. Peenya II stage - Near Dasarahalli- working fine  , speed ok, signal not strong in some places.

I have not tried the network outside Bangalore.

I hope things will be smoother once EVDO is up and working

Speed:- 100bps to 188 kbps

Usually 10 to 30 kbps - very slow
