Staff Attitude:

This incident happened in October 2015. I was coughing from 3 weeks and now I am getting fevers as well. So I had left with no option and had to consult a doctor. Unfortunately it's the Brookefield Hospital where I had to go.

I consulted Dr.TJ Pradeep and was very hopeful that I'll get cured soon  because I saw Directors board in his cabin(Hoping that he is the most experienced guy in the hospital).

Here's what happened next. Within 3-4mins he told me that this is the definite case of Dengue. This came to me as surprise because one week before only I had full body checkup and everything seemed to be fine. At least platelets count was more than okay. But you have to go with doctors view and the records were one week old.

So he recommended me immediate hospitalisation. I agreed. Next morning I came to know that my reports are negative for Dengue Malaria and Typhoid. Then they took the urine sample and later in the evening they are suspecting urinal infection.

Then they took another sample and told that detailed report will come after 2 days. So I had to extend for 2 more days and during these two days fever is not getting down. After two days even urinal report came negative. Then they told me to go for CT scan for chest. This report suggested some infection in lung.

Till this time I got frustrated and had no option but to leave the hospital. This guy,  Mr. TJ pradeep is not even agreeing to discharge me. He even mentioned in discharge document as a suspected tuberculosis patient. I consulted other doctor who recommended some tests including TB as well and the result was simple lung infection.

So here is the summary: I had a simple lung infection and Brookefield Hospital was not able to even  identify this.  Forget about the treatment. And guess.  how much was the bill. It was 43000 for three days. Yes folks I was being charged 43000. And at the time of discharge I was even unaware of my actual disease.

So my request to you is that don't ever go to this hospitals. They are the Looters. P.S I didn't have the mediclaim facility. I had to pay from my pocket. Later I was cured within a week. Hardly 2000rs expense for everything.
