Hi Friends!
Today my review concerns a product which I'm sure will be the delight of many people, esp. those who love eating healthy idlis & dosas!
What goes best with dosa and idli?
Apart from coconut chutney, it's a spicy side dish called *Sambar*!
I have tried and tested many Sambar powders in the past. But, the one brand that really gives an authentic South Indian taste is Brahmins Sambar Powder!
Just pressure-cook toovar dal(sambar dal), small onions(shallots), a piece of garlic, tomatoes, curry leaves and a few veggies of your choice.Add salt. Add a bit of tamarind water for that tangy taste. Corander leaves optional. **Then add this powder.*
Voila! Sambar Ready!
N.B. Add oil tempered with mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, jeera, dry red chillies, shallots & curry leaves in the end.
