I bought this computer a year ago. Four months ago it stopped powering on. After going back and forth for a month, Asus finally agreed that it was covered under warranty. I had to haggle to get them to cover the shipping fee. I sent it with a request that they send back my hard drive. I then called to ensure this could happen. After two days of discussions among three tiers of operators, they agreed to send a request to make sure this could happen. Since I was unable to backup my computer because it wouldn't turn on I figured this wouldn't be a problem. They didn't honor that and I lost my work.
They returned a computer two weeks later that wasn't mine and runs at a snail's pace. I called Asus again and was hung up on twice and was later placed on hold for 45 minutes. Currently the computer takes 20 minutes to turn on and get to the sign in page. It's a few weeks over warranty and I can't use it at all. I bought an outside insurance plan which basically means I'll have to keep using an inferior product. I've had Asus laptops before that have run fine for many years. This one is complete garbage.
