These days reality shows are getting more and more popular among the audiences for one simple reason, they involve the audience into the show and let them guess about what happens next.
Survivor,
Love Chain, who wants to marry a millionair, 5th wheel, The Bachelor and now the latest ’’For Love or Money’’. The show is currently running on NBC (in US) not sure if they show it in India or not. If they do, you can enjoy it if not you’re not missing much :-)
The Plot: Sixteen beautiful girls competes with each other for one guy (Preston). Now there is no competition like running a race or playing vedio game. They all just try to impress the guy, who will elimiate one/more girls in each episode. Each girl at the beginning of the show was given a blank check. But all the checks have an assigned value between one dollar to one million dollars, and Preston knows the value of each girls’ check (but the girls dont). The last girl left (winner) after elimiating all others will then has to decide, if she wants Preston or the value of her check. If she decides ’’check’’ Preston gets zippo, but if the girl chooses Preston, then he gets the value of the girl’s check.
Seems Interesint? huh.... The game is Preston has to make the ’girl’’ believe he really loves her, so she would choose him at the end, and the girls have to make him belive she loves him and wont choose the money at the end. In the first two hour premier episode, preston eliminated 10 girls (including Melaine, who I thought was cute). Six girls left were as: Jamie (check worth $250K) PJ (check worth 50K) Rachel ($1) Ali ($1,000,000) Rebekah(I think 500K) Andrea (500K) Of all these, my clear pick was Jamie, shes so cute and was keeping a low profile on the show leaving everyone to guess if shes in for love or money.
Preston agreed on the first two episodes that he has a crush on Jamie. Other girls would try not to let Preston have a date with Jamie for one reason, ’’Jamie, you’re damm cute’’ But ’’poor’’ Preston elimiated Jamie on the second show. Elimination in each show is based upon Preston’s date with two girls (one on one) and the group dates with others.
Everyone that I know has been surprised on jamie’s elimiation whereas everyone was thinking Ali should have been elimianted (but ali is worth 1 million dollars) so thats gives the audience a clue that Preston is also in for money, not love. 4-5 more episodes are still to come, and there could be more twists more surprises in the remaining shows, that will keep the interest alive. The show is not the greatest of all, but far better than Kkussum and Jassi.
