1921 is Bollywood Horror Movie which is the 4th sequel of the famous 1920 film. But after watching the movie I am not sure 1921 has kept the reputation of its prequel. It starrs Zarren Khan as ghost-whisperer Rose and Karan Kundra as the pianist Ayush. But I am definitely sure the film is made to waste the money of the audience. Here are the reasons below:
1) Plot: Plot is quite confusing with a boring story line. The film begins in the year 1927 when the audience is waiting for the performance of the pianist Ayush( Karan Kundra) . But he doesnot arrive. He has locked himself in a room, drunk and has attempted suicide. Then l, the film takes us to the flash back to the year 1921 when Ayush leaves for England to master his skill in piano. He also has to take care of the large Wadia mansion where he is going to leave. Three months from then, Ayush experiences paranormal presence in the mansion. He calls ghost-whisperer Rose ( Zareen Khan) to rescue him out. The two falls for each other but the ghost decides to take revenge from them for their dark past.
The story is so boring and the fact that the ghost takes three months to haunt Ayush after he arrives to the mansion is beyond any logic.
2) Performance: Karan Kundra on hus debut is average which is further drawn to earth by yet again pathetic performance of Zareen Khan. The feel of fear and excitement pinned in the plot is devastated by their performances.
3) Cinematography: The fear and anxiety moments are quite few. Some of the situations came when the ghost makes apperance amidst a pin drop silence. But the ghost is made pathetic in apperance. It looks not more than a cartoon charachter. Hence, this horror film has let down the reputation of its genre.
4) Music: Apart from the two heart-warming songs ' Sun le zara' and ' kuch iss tarah' there are not any over-whelming songs. The background music that makes a horror movie scary is not quite up to the mark.
Thus, as I have wasted my money on the film 1921, I do not recommend it to anyone.
