You should have got it serviced at proper intervals for more soother drives and F.E. I too have an i10-Era (sep 2010 model just b4 launch of Kappa2 and IRDE2). Except for occasional 1st gear jerks and the brakes the car is a gem. I got 12 to 14 kmpl upto 2nd service service , 14-15 kmpl after 2nd se...rvice, 16 + kmpl after 3rd service. All F.E. figures are either with NO AC or 20% AC, tyre pressure 33 psi, gear changes as recommended by Hyundai, I drive in afternoon towards office when traffic is very moderate and come back in the evening when traffic is very dense but no Jams except at signals, all this in PUNE city and on one of the busiest roads ( Karve Road ->JM Road-> Nagar Road -> Kharadi)
After 3rd service the car has become ultra smooth and more drivable. I was planning to sell this car due to jerks (only sometimes) and buy Brio but I changed my mind now.Read More

@selvan_1700 thanks for your suggestion. However the shuddering problem did not go away even after changing the fuel stations. I have logged a complaint with hyundai and their 1st attempt to repair the problem did not yield any result, the problem still persists, they have accepted that here is some... issue with the clutch/pressure plate....Let us see how it goes when I will again leave the vehicle for the issue resolution.Read More

I have never driven diesel before so what you say is correct.
Even I am also planning to buy Diesel one as not sure about petrol efficiency. If we go for diesel we get fuel eff., space and fewer gear shifts in city. But still I would take one more test drive this week-end and conf...irm my choice.Read More

I am also a trobled person at the hands of Maruti. I own alto Lxi 2007 make and after repeated complaits to dealer and customer care my problem is still unresolved. My car comes to neutral from 3rd and 4th gear whenver is passes over a bump or pothole . Maruti does not have a courtesy to even call b...ack and take a look at the car. Shameless people. However wide and good their network might be at the heart they are just not bothered about customers. Whenver they realize there is something serious problem they will turn a deaf ear to the complaint. I have not seen such a terrible attitude, even roadside baniyas also listen and resolve your complaints.My cars' warrenty period is already over and I am thinking to go to consumer court as I have ample proof of making complaints before warrenty was over( I put the first complaint right after the first service).Read More

I also have same experience with Maruti Suzuki and its dealer in Pune.
I own ALto LXI(Nov 2007 Purchase). MY alto comes to neutral from 3rd or 4th gear whenever it encounters a bump. I took my car to Sai Services Pune 3 to 4 times for this problem but they could not solve the problem....
I logged compliants with Customer care in Oct 2008 and Oct 2009 but no response from Maruti Suzuki. Finally the delaler(Sai Services) called up after repeated follow ups.
Sai services says 'what can we do sir, we have tried everything possible'. I told them to call maruti people but Maruti prople never show up. Somehow in last June(2008) one person from Maruti came and test drove, he also encountered the same problem. But after that he started giving excuses like if the pot holes are like the ones in pune then the car is going to come to neutral, or my driving is not godd as I drive very slowly ... bla bla..... no any proper justification .... Later when I chased thsi person he avoided my calls saying he is out of station or in meeting.
I have also mentioned thsi problem in my own cars' review under Alto LXi, sometime a year back.
