No wonder friend.. Even I have had the worst of the experience dealing with this good for nothing company. They keep up to their name by making you feel inside 'WHIRLPOOL'.... No escaping from it! I had this experience thrice, first with a refridgerator, then with a washing machine and finally with ...a microwave.. And believe me, you are never going to get any sort of proper service from them!!!Read More

@Pureit Dear Resha Par, I believe this is the third time you are offering me assistance. Nothing happened during the prevous two times, hence I am not interested in bearing more insults. Thanks

Consider yourself lucky if you ever get proper service from these people. Your experiences are not at all different to that of mine!

Our experiences and views regarding the car are almost similar.. Regarding the service center, none of the Marutis in my house hold are serviced in Dealer workshops. I rely on a Maruti Authorised Service Center who is able to perform much better that any of the dealer workshops in Thiruvananthapuram...!Read More

@himanshu200 Thanks for the comments. So far I haven't done any holiday trips. But the boot space is decent. It will fit atleast two medium sized suite cases easily. The seats are 60:40 split and therefore boot space can be increased in case of urgency. Regarding long distance trips, I have done the... same in my sister's car and that is one reason why I fell in love this car.Read More

A FLASH BACK: It is more than a year since I posted my review on the Wagon R “A LONG TERM LOVE STORY” (Link for new readers: http://www.mouthshut.com/review/Maruti-Suzuki-Wagon-R-review-qpnnrqqnmn). The car has completed 95000 Kms of service in our family within just 4 years (It still runs on petrol... and has not been converted to LPG). Many may recall that the car was a family owned one and that I myself had been using an Alto and I had an idea of replacing the car in August 2011. But financial constraints forced me to stick on to my Access (!!!). The problem was that my father was given an Indigo CS as his official car and the car had done almost 60000 Kms while it was allotted to my father. While he got Indigo CS he gave me Wagon R and I gave my Alto to my Mother. Anyone who would have been associated with Tata cars would definitely know what a Tata car would feel like after completion of 50000 Kms. Finally after using Indigo for almost a year (hardly 10000 Kms), father returned the car in spite of the fact that his employers couldn’t provide another car, as he had enough and more out of that car and took back the Wagon R from me. End result? I become “car less” as I will not be able to get back my Alto! At that point I couldn’t think of a new car as another expense was waiting… we were expecting our second child. Thus, as a money saving technique ;-) Access became my mode of transport and to take my wife for checkups, I used to borrow my own car from my mother and several adjustments of schedules needed to be made to facilitate this!Read More

I am really satisfied and will definitely recommend Ritz. For those who vouch against the looks of the car, I would request to take a good test drive (at least for about 15 Kms) through varied terrains before you reject this sweet car. Also, the updated version of the car is due to be released soon ...(already released in the European markets). I believe that the negatives pointed out will be corrected in the updated version. Sorry if the review is too lengthy. Please feel free to leave your queries and please remember to leave your valuable comments.Read More

OWNERSHIP EXPERIENCE The car has done 4500 Kms over a period of 6 months. Drive is superbly smooth. The vehicle is used mostly for my daily commuting to office. Even though the road is a national highway bye pass, the conditions are pathetic even if compared to city roads. In this situation the v...ehicle is able to return a mileage of 14 to 15 Kmpl. I have not checked the mileage on highways but as per the experience using my sister’s car, I am confident that it will return at least 17 Kmpl. One service (1000 Kms) has been performed at Popular itself and as expected, the car will be on its way to my usual Maruti Authorised Service center (Hitech Automobiles) soon after the 10000 Kms periodical. POSITIVES THAT I FEEL ABOUT RITZ: Extremely good drivability due to the excellent torque in the city as well as on highways, excellent pick up, driving position, turning radius, responsive power steering, mileage, stability, boot space, silent and silky smooth engine, AC, door closing noise with a confidence inspiring thud noise, speed sensitive auto door locks (when the car crosses 20 Kmph the doors lock automatically as a safety feature), removable tray below the front passenger seat. NEGATIVES THAT I FEEL ABOUT RITZ: Rear leg room not very great when compared to the current Wagon R but not a major issue, Brakes are not very confidence inspiring (due to the presence of load sensing proportionate valve) but not dangerous, backing up is tricky as the rear window is small (I would suggest the installation of reverse sensors or even camera), absence of anti glare rear view mirror and electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors (both these are available even in the 2008 Wagon R VXi that I still have) and the dealer workshops!Read More

REASONS FOR CHOOSING VXi VARIANT: Felt it as the most value for money variant as it had almost all the features I wanted in my car (4 door power windows, power steering, tachometer, central locking, remote boot opener etc.). LXi variant lacks these and ZXi is out of budget. REASONS FOR CHOOSING W...HITE COLOR: As mentioned earlier, having experienced a nightmare in maintaining dark colors for almost five years, the decision was obvious. Easy to maintain and protects itself to a great extend from drawing the attention of the idiotic road side Picassos who draw or write any damn thing on neatly maintained cars especially if it is a dark colored one. My Alto did suffer this to a great extend. I seldom faced such an issue in my first Wagon R which was Silver. DESIGN OF THE CAR I won’t say that the car will win any beauty contests, as I have also told about the Wagon R. But the genuine fact is that this car, as in the case of the Wagon R, has a distinct personality of its own. You will not mistake this car for any other car. Personally, I adore the looks of the car. Another thing that I like about the looks is the position of the gear lever as well as the position of the tachometer. Also, the car has sufficient bottle holders and cubby holes for holding coins, keys, toll tickets etc. When people ask me for opinion on this car and I give them positive reply, the next obvious response will be “but still…. the looks…..” and my advice will be to take a test drive and then reject this car. Also, since my office is situated near the Thiruvananthapuram Technopark, over the past few months I have observed that Ritz is becoming a very popular choice among software engineers working in Technopark.
