This car is certainly on my "to buy" list. I presently own a Tata SUV which serves me well. I bought the latest Tata SUV for the ride, durability, interior space, and the negotiation of rough roads and off road terrain - but the Ambassador - a favorite in the South India of the 1970s prior to my...Read more

Maximum Head Crack (trust me, I knew this "enitity" in NY in the 1990s when he was writing filler for a computer magazine). The problem with this book is that I could not read more than ten pages commenting: "Yeah, that Desi is at it again!" - in other words - having known this guy way back w...Read more

Khushwant Singh writes well - which was evident in the old days when he was with Illustrated Weekly and more recently with this more recent work.  The book hops from different eras in the history of Delhi - modern to historical. The prose is humorous, pithy and very satirical in some passages...Read more
