At present I am near the end of an access course to go to Nottingham University in September to study English and American literature, and drama. I'm not a hero worshipper but greatly admire those who did it first, those who stayed faithful to their art, like Van Gogh and Jackson Pollock. I have written several novels and short stories, all of which have a Steinbeckian feel as they frequently feature damaged people. When I meet someone on the internet, typically, my first question will be ''What is art?'', so be prepared . . . LOL. I adore my pal Charlie, my dog. I enjoy playing golf with a good friend once a week - but the companionship of a good friend is more important than the sport. Books, both fiction and non-fiction are like food to me. I hate people who want power, or even worse, people who wish to use their power to harm others. It is my belief that learning helps to keep us young; there is nothing so boring as someone who thinks they know it all and have no wish to learn from others. Typically this includes teenagers and sadly, oldsters, stuck in their ways. You may be able to tell from my picture that i love horses; such strength and beauty!
