Tata Motors is a bad car maker & poor at customer service. Wasan is no better. They're both concerned about what comes into the bank. After that, who cares. Consumer Courts are the only way out to bring these chaps to their right senses!!!

So are there non Marathi (or non Bombayite) fans of this murderer also? Or is it restricted to a certain area? And possibly to a certain leaning?

Much talked about, much less seen movie. Although, without a doubt a syllabus recommended, compulsory viewing movie! So important is it's message! The brilliance of the film is in it's theme, the characters essayed rather well by the cast(that includes our Naseer in a small but very crucial c...Read more

I'm fairly picky about the movies that I watch & even pickier about the ones I like. Any regular reader of this blog will vouch for that. I am recommending a movie today for mass consumption. A Movie that should probably be made mandatory viewing in India. Just like Sir Attenborough's Oscar winn...Read more

Just saw Jodha-Akbar and here’s a word of caution. The director has taken a few creative liberties with the story and that usually disappoints purists like me. I raged when I saw Troy; when I saw The Bourne Ultimatum; when they cut a crucial part of Alexander in our cinemas. And I cr...Read more

Not taking away his 'manhood' from him. With all due respect to SRK the person, he is quite a pile of crap when it comes to acting & movies. Popularity is no judge of class. Rajnikant is hugely popular in the South. As are Mohanlal, Mamooty & Chiranjeevi. Does popular mean that they're good looking well? Or classy actors? Momooty & Mohanlal are, but what about the other two??? Narendra Modi got voted to power in Gujarat. Majority vote. Does that mean that he has class??? Popularity in India doesn't equal Goodness or Class. It basically means that farmers & rickshawallas like you. Nothing wrong with that. But it doesn't make SRK a Brando. It makes him a Rajendra 'Jubilee' Kumar at best. So if SRK rules, it is because of imbeciles like you himika_foru! :-)Read More

SRK rules all Yash Chopra movies because they're written for him. To someone not blinded by Bollywood stardust, it's obvious that the actor who impressed most in the movie was Karisma. She was a revelation.

No asterix, I didn't miss the humour. My points are: 1. The humour is inane & childish. 2. I'm aware that is what the Indian audience wants, but for how long are we going to dish out what the audience wants to see & not try & raise the bar of cinema, educate moviegoers. It is this commercialism ...that irks me. Do we want to remain a nation with juvenile cinematic tastes? Don't journalists have a responsibility? To influence public opinion by telling them the truth? To improve the awareness of the common man about what's really happening in the world around them? And therefore, whenever they're writing about art, culture & entertainment to raise the bar? So that the public learns to appreciate what is good instead of what is selling nowadays? Anyway, here's the Best OSO review ever...!!! Better than mine. Even better than yours!!! :-) Check it out. You may not agree with the author (I do!), but it's so well written that you'l be clapping by the time you finish reading it! And if you'd like to give me some feedback on my post: More

My opinion is that it was a very mediocre film. It was very inane, a movie directed at pleasing teenyboppers. Nothing in it for a serious cinima goer!

pbroorkee, I agree with you on every single point you've made. rohit, ushanigam, dr.shafique don't realize it because they're looking at it only from one point of view. Exposure to good international cinema and an unbaised way of seeing & evaluating things will make them see what the truth is. aste...rix786, I like your approach, you're asking for cases to be made to back up an argument.
