Well, one fine day when am busy with work - logged in to Zomato app and tried ordering a biryani. By mistake without applying coupon code the order was placed.


To my surprise they are faster than Dhoni in response time. Order got accepted with in 5 seconds before I try to cancel it.(Believe restaurant owner was desperately looking orders from Zomato).


I cancelled within 5 seconds, and they politely dropped me a message saying your 240 bucks cannot be replaced. Now the question arises.


1) I cancelled my order and money got deducted but where is the food going?


2) When food is not delivered where is this 240 bucks going(seems like it is a penalty for doing a mistake in zomato)


Note: they do not have a call center team, they know that they are doing fraud and will face consequences if they place a call center team.


After 5 days of wait for my reply, got a very polite reply saying that as the order is already prepared the refund is not possible.


Was wondering Biryani is pre - prepared or zomato is in agreement with all biryani makers to prepare only after receiving the order.


Now is biryani wasted?


Business is build on ethical practices and trust.


They would have begged their customers to give money to sustain their business.


They lost me, my friend and families. we never gonna order again .
